 Neurodermatitis : The itch can occur anywhere on the body but is most commonly found on the arms, shoulders, elbows, legs, ankles, wrists, hands, back of the neck or scalp. The anal and genital areas and the face might also itch. The itching can be intense, causing frequent scratching, or it might come and go. It is most active when the patient is relaxing or trying to sleep. In some cases, the patient wakes up scratching or rubbing the affected area. Neurodermatitis is a non-life-threatening skin condition involving itching and scratching, usually on just one or two patches of skin. It is also called lichen simplex chronicus. The itchy patches measure between 3 centimeters by 6 centimeters and 6 centimeters by 10 centimeters. The patches can look: Dry. Thick. Scaly. Leathery. SCABIES: There are approximately 200 million cases of scabies in the world at any given time. It’s a highly contagious condition that can easily be passed from one person to another through direct skin contact. Scabiesa sexually transmitted disease, although it can be transmitted through intimate contact, sharing clothing, or sharing bedding. Although scabies can be bothersome, the mites can usually be eliminated. Treatment often consists of medications that kill the mites and their eggs. Since scabies is so contagious, doctors usually also recommend treatment for the people who are in frequent contact with the person who has scabies. What are the causes of  scabies ?  BABY ACNE : Baby acne is a common, usually temporary skin condition that develops on a baby’s face or body. It results in tiny red or white bumps or pimples. In almost all cases, the acne resolves on its own without treatment. Baby acne is also known as neonatal acne. It occurs in about 20% of newborn baby.  Baby acne is different from infantile acne in that open comedones, or blackheads don’t usually appear in baby acne. These symptoms are common in infantile acne. Infantile acne may also appear as cysts or nodules . In rare cases, it can leave scars without treatment. Baby acne only happens in your baby’s first few months of life. Infantile acne can last until your child is 2 years old. Infantile acne is much less common than baby acne.  CRUSTED SCABIES : Crusted scabies is a severe infestation of scabies mites and eggs in the skin. The scabies mite,   Sarcoptes scabiei var hominis , is a microscopic mite also known as the human itch mite. Scabies mites are only able to reproduce on human skin. The female scabies mite burrows into the top layer of skin and lays its eggs. Most people with scabies have an infection of roughly 10–20 mites. People with crusted scabies may have as many as 4,000 mites per gram of skin or an infection of more than 1 million mites. People with crusted scabies may also experience different symptoms compared to people with regular scabies. People with crusted scabies may not experience itching or a rash, which occurs in regular scabies.   NECROBIOSIS LIPOIDICA : Necrobiosis lipoidica (NL) is a rare inflammatory skin condition that can cause patches of skin that can sometimes develop into ulcers.  Necrobiosis lipoidica   is a  necrotising    skin condition that usually occurs in patients with  diabetes mellitus    but can also be associated with diabetes mellitus    In the former case it may be called   necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum   ( NLD ).   NLD occurs in approximately 0.3% of the diabetic population, with the majority of those affected are women (approximately 3:1 females to males affected). The severity or control of diabetes in an individual does not affect who will or will not get NLD. Better maintenance of diabetes after being diagnosed with NLD will not change how quickly the NLD will resolve.
